India to Host West Indies for Tests, South Africa for Multi-Format Series in 2025 Home Season

India is set for an action-packed home season in 2025, with the West Indies and South Africa touring the country for Test and multi-format series, respectively. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalized the schedule, with the Caribbean side visiting for two Test matches in October, followed by a high-profile clash against the Proteas across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is in November-December.

India vs West Indies – Test Series in October

The West Indies will return to Indian shores for a two-match Test series, their first red-ball tour of the country since 2018.

Test Series Schedule:

📍 1st Test – Mohali 🏟️ (October 2)
📍 2nd Test – Kolkata (Eden Gardens) 🏟️ (October 10)

The last time India and West Indies faced off in a Test series was in the Caribbean in 2023, where India dominated with a 1-0 series win. However, the West Indies last played an ODI and T20I series in India in 2022.

India vs South Africa – Multi-Format Series in November-December

Shortly after the West Indies series, India will host South Africa for an all-format tour, featuring two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

Test Series Schedule:

📍 1st Test – Delhi 🏟️
📍 2nd Test – Guwahati 🏟️ (First-ever Test in Guwahati!)

Guwahati, a regular host for limited-overs matches and IPL games, will be making its Test cricket debut in this series.

ODI Series Schedule:

📍 1st ODI – Ranchi 🏟️ (November 30)
📍 2nd ODI – Raipur 🏟️ (December 3)
📍 3rd ODI – Visakhapatnam 🏟️ (December 6)

T20I Series Schedule:

📍 1st T20I – December 9
📍 2nd T20I – December 11
📍 3rd T20I – December 14
📍 4th T20I – December 17
📍 5th T20I – December 19

The series will serve as crucial preparation for both sides ahead of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

India’s Busy Cricket Calendar Continues

With a packed international home season lined up, Team India will have ample opportunities to test their red-ball depth against the West Indies and fine-tune their white-ball combinations against South Africa.

As the cricketing calendar heats up, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and the next generation of Indian stars as they gear up for another exciting season!
