Team India is immersed in mourning amid the Border-Gavaskar series, father of this star player passed away

India has won the first two Test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played between the Indian team and Australia. In the midst of this series, the Indian team’s star fast bowler Umesh Yadav is immersed in grief.

Umesh Yadav’s father died at the age of 74 on Wednesday i.e. 22 February. Actually, Umesh’s father was running ill for the last few months, but due to no improvement in his condition, he was brought back home, after which he breathed his last yesterday.

Team India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav is a part of the Border-Gavaskar series, but before the third Test match, a mountain of sorrows broke down on him. His father Tilak Yadav has passed away. As per reports, Umesh will return to Nagpur.

In such a situation, he is unlikely to remain a part of the Border-Gavaskar series. He might be out of the squad soon. Umesh could not be a part of the playing-11 for the first two matches against Australia, but looking at the spin-friendly pitches, it is expected that he will not be able to make it to the next matches as well.

Fast bowler Umesh Yadav played his last match against Bangladesh last year. In which Umesh took a total of 7 wickets in the two-match Test series. After this, he played in Vidarbha vs Punjab match in Ranji Trophy. He did not get a chance to bowl in this match.

After this, he was included in the Indian team in the 4-match Test series against Australia. If we talk about Umesh’s cricket career, then he has taken 165 wickets while playing a total of 54 Test matches. Whereas Umesh played the last ODI in the year 2018 and the last T20 match in 2022.
