In a major shake-up in Bengali television, former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly has officially stepped down as the host of Zee Bangla’s iconic show Dadagiri. The cricket legend has now signed a whopping ₹125 crore deal with Star Jalsha, marking one of the biggest transitions in regional entertainment history.
The news broke during an exclusive interview with News18 Bangla, confirming Ganguly’s departure from Dadagiri, a show he had hosted with immense popularity for over a decade.
Under his new deal with Star Jalsha, Ganguly will be hosting Bigg Boss Bengali and another brand-new quiz show, both of which are expected to launch later this year.
Sharing his enthusiasm about the collaboration, Ganguly said:
“I am very happy to be associated with Star Jalsha. We are starting a new chapter together, focusing on storytelling through innovative non-fiction programmes.”
He also added,
