According to sources, the squad will assemble in Kolkata on January 18 and engage in intensive practice sessions for three days ahead of the series opener.

The side will be led by dynamic batter Suryakumar Yadav, who has enjoyed a stellar stint as captain, guiding India to series victories against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and South Africa. Known for their explosive performances in T20Is, the Men in Blue will aim to continue their record-breaking streak against a formidable England side.

India vs. England Series: A Crucial Preparatory Ground

India and England are set to clash in a series comprising five T20Is and three ODIs, providing both sides with valuable practice ahead of major international tournaments.

  • January 22: Kolkata
  • January 25: Chennai
  • January 28: Rajkot
  • January 31: Pune
  • February 2: Mumbai

India will look to build momentum and fine-tune their strategies as they prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, slated to kick off later in February.

Champions Trophy: India Eye Strong Start

The Champions Trophy 2025, co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE, will see India begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Originally planned to be held entirely in Pakistan, the tournament was split between Pakistan and the UAE due to India’s decision not to travel to Pakistan.

Led by Rohit Sharma, the team will look to make a strong impression in the tournament, with the England series serving as a key stepping stone. The Men in Blue are determined to maintain their form and iron out their plans as they aim for another ICC title.

With the England series and Champions Trophy on the horizon, Indian cricket fans can expect an exciting and action-packed start to the year.
