Pakistan Begin T20I Preparations with Intense Training in USA Ahead of West Indies Clash

The Pakistan cricket team kicked off their preparations for the highly anticipated T20I series against the West Indies with a high-intensity training session at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

Currently touring the United States for the three-match T20I leg, the Men in Green participated in a focused three-hour training session under the watchful eyes of head coach Mike Hesson and his staff. The session featured comprehensive fielding drills, net practice, and skill-specific routines designed for both batters and bowlers.

The day began with rigorous warm-up and fitness drills before moving into specialized net sessions aimed at fine-tuning execution and match preparedness. With the first T20I scheduled for July 31 at the same venue, the squad is looking to bounce back strong after a 2-1 T20I series defeat in Bangladesh earlier this month.

Salman Ali Agha, who is set to lead the side during the T20I series, looked confident during the session, with senior players like Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf also seen sharpening their skills.

After wrapping up the T20I series in the USA, Pakistan will head to the Caribbean for a three-match ODI series against the West Indies, starting August 8 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. Mohammad Rizwan will take over the captaincy for the ODI leg, with Salman Ali Agha serving as vice-captain.

The ongoing tour marks the second assignment for newly appointed white-ball coach Mike Hesson, who began his stint on a high with a 3-0 whitewash of Bangladesh at home in May.
