Nathan Lyon creates history against India, breaks Muttiah Muralitharan’s world record

Australian star spin bowler Nathan Lyon has achieved a special achievement in his name in the third Test match against India. Nathan Lyon took five wickets in the second innings. During this, he took his first wicket in the form of Shubman Gill and with this wicket he broke the cricket record of Sri Lankan veteran spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.

The third Test match of the Test series between India and Australia is being played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Australian bowlers have dominated this game since the beginning. The Kangaroos bowled India out for just 109 runs in the first innings and Australia were later bundled out for 197 runs. Meanwhile, in India’s second innings, Nathan Lyon took the wicket of Shubman Gill. And with this wicket, he has become the highest wicket-taker for spin bowlers against India.

Nathan Lyon overtook former Sri Lankan spin bowler Muttiah Muralitharan in terms of taking wickets against India and became the first bowler to do so in terms of taking the most wickets against India. Earlier this world record was in the name of Muralitharan, now it is in the name of Nathan Lyon. Muralitharan was successful in taking 105 wickets against India.
