Kapil Dev made a scathing attack on Rohit Sharma's fitness - He looks more overweight on TV

Kapil Dev made a scathing attack on Rohit Sharma’s fitness – “He looks more overweight on TV”

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, is currently playing a four-match Test series against Australia. Team India has taken a 2-0 lead in the series by winning the first two Test matches. While Rohit has won laurels everywhere by winning the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy under his captaincy, former Indian team captain Kapil Dev has once again raised questions about the hitman’s fitness.

Actually, Rohit Sharma started the series in a brilliant way by scoring a strong century in the first Test match played in Nagpur. He is the only player in this series, who has been successful in scoring a century so far, but former Indian team captain Kapil Dev has given a statement regarding the fitness of Rohit Sharma. Kapil Dev believes that Rohit needs to work a lot on fitness. Kapil told that Rohit looks overweight on the field.

Talking to a news channel, Kapil Dev said, “It is very important that you stay fit, but it is a shame if you are not fit. Rohit should work on it.”

He also said, “He is a great batsman, but when it comes to fitness, he looks a bit overweight on TV. It looks different when you see it on TV and then different in real life, Rohit is a great player and a great captain, but he needs to be fit. Look at Virat, anyone who sees him says is this fitness?

Please tell that Rohit Sharma returned to the Indian Test team after about 11 months through the ongoing Test series against Australia. He last played against Sri Lanka in March last year, after which he was ruled out of the Test against England due to Covid positive and then he was ruled out of the two-Test series against Bangladesh due to a finger injury.
