Veteran bowler Wahab Riaz, who plays for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League under the leadership of Babar Azam, has not given up hope of playing in the ODI World Cup to be held in India.
He recently gave a statement saying that my aim is to make Pakistan win in different difficult situations. Riaz wants to return to the Pakistan national team. He played his last international match for Pakistan in December 2020.
In fact, Wahab Riaz, who is running out of the Pakistan team, recently gave a statement saying that as a player, I am enjoying cricket at the moment. I have a golden opportunity to prove myself and I am trying to capitalize on it. I can do well in this tournament. It is good for me that the team I am playing is being led by Babar Azam, so there is less pressure on me. I can think about my bowling and execute it well.
Let us tell you that after the victory of Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators on Monday i.e. February 20, Wahab said, “My target is to win matches in different situations in this tournament.” Your performance doesn’t just depend on how many wickets you take. It also depends on how you have bowled in different pressure situations. I am looking forward to it and if it is my destiny then I will definitely play in the 2023 World Cup.
Along with this, Wahab Riaz has played 91 ODIs for Pakistan. During this, he took 120 wickets in his name. He bowled brilliantly in the World Cup many times.
