Haris Rauf and Danni Wyatt-Hodge Crowned ICC Players of the Month for November 2024

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the winners of the ICC Player of the Month awards for November 2024, with Pakistan’s Haris Rauf earning the ICC Men’s Player of the Month title and England’s Danni Wyatt-Hodge taking home the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award.

Haris Rauf: A Stellar Comeback

Pakistan’s fast-bowling sensation Haris Rauf claimed the prestigious accolade following his standout performances during Pakistan’s historic ODI series win in Australia—their first since 2002.

Rauf’s fiery bowling earned him 13 wickets in six ODIs at an exceptional average of 16.61, propelling him to a career-high 13th position in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings. His spellbinding five-wicket haul in Adelaide and 4-22 in Sydney were instrumental in Pakistan’s memorable series victory.

The 31-year-old pacer marked his return to ODI cricket after a year-long hiatus with a commanding display of pace and precision. His form continued in the T20I series against Australia and later in Zimbabwe. This is Rauf’s maiden ICC Player of the Month award, following teammate Noman Ali, who won the title for October.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge: England’s Powerhouse

England’s explosive batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge clinched the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for her sensational performances in the T20I series against South Africa, where England achieved a resounding 3-0 whitewash.

Wyatt-Hodge amassed 142 runs across the series at an average of 71.00 and a staggering strike rate of 163.21. She also reached the significant milestone of 3,000 runs in WT20Is, becoming the second-fastest player to achieve this feat.

Wyatt’s brilliance edged out strong contenders like South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk and Bangladesh’s Sharmin Akhter. Her win marks the third time an English player has received the award this year, joining Maia Boucher and Tammy Beaumont.

Recognition of Excellence

The ICC Player of the Month awards celebrate consistent excellence, and the November 2024 winners exemplify the spirit of cricket. Both Rauf and Wyatt-Hodge’s performances captivated fans worldwide, reinforcing their reputations as cricketing stalwarts.

Their achievements add another chapter to a memorable month of cricket and inspire countless players and fans globally.
