Ashwin took 689 wickets in 269 matches and Kapil Dev took 687 wickets in 356 matches. Former leg-spinner Anil Kumble holds the record for most wickets in international cricket for India. Anil Kumble has taken 953 wickets in 401 matches and former all-rounder Harbhajan Singh is second in this list with 707 wickets in 365 matches.
India’s veteran off-spinner R Ashwin took 466 wickets in Test cricket, while he has 151 wickets in One Day Internationals. At the same time, Ravichandran Ashwin, who played in the T20 World Cup last year, took 72 wickets in T20 International cricket. In this way, his wickets in international cricket reached 689.
Ashwin has reached the top of the Test rankings due to his good performance. Ashwin on Wednesday became the first Test bowler at the Test level to overtake England bowler James Anderson.
