According to reports, Jaiswal has formally informed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) of his decision to rejoin the domestic setup after missing the team’s opening two matches against Jammu & Kashmir and Chhattisgarh.

After returning from Australia, where he was part of India’s ODI squad but didn’t feature in any of the three matches, Yashasvi Jaiswal is looking to regain match sharpness ahead of the two-match Test series against South Africa starting later in November.

A report by The Indian Express confirmed that the Ranji Trophy fixture against Rajasthan will act as Jaiswal’s key preparation opportunity before the red-ball series.

“He has conveyed his availability to the Mumbai team management and wants to get some long-form cricket before the South Africa Tests,” the report mentioned.

The talented left-hander last appeared in whites for India during the two-Test home series against the West Indies, where he amassed 219 runs in three innings at an average of 73, including a stunning century on debut.
