Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Offer Prayers at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi

Star couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visited the sacred city of Ayodhya on Sunday, offering prayers at the Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi temple. The couple’s spiritual visit quickly went viral, as a video surfaced online showing the duo respectfully performing rituals while maintaining a low profile.
Dressed in traditional attire, Virat wore an off-white kurta, and Anushka donned a lavender suit, embodying grace and simplicity as they paid homage to the revered deities. Their calm presence and humility during the visit touched the hearts of devotees and fans alike.
Meeting Spiritual Leaders in Ayodhya
During their temple tour, the couple was facilitated by senior priest Hemant Das at Hanuman Garhi. They also interacted with Sanjay Das, the successor of Mahant Gyan Das and national president of the Sankat Mochan Sena.
Speaking about their visit, Sanjay Das told ANI:
“Kohli and Anushka have a deep love for spirituality, culture, God and Sanatana Dharma. They visited Lord Ram Lalla and then took blessings from Lord Hanuman. They also discussed spirituality and mythological things here.”
Continuing Their Spiritual Journey
This visit to Ayodhya is part of Virat and Anushka’s ongoing spiritual journey. Just a few days ago, the couple sought blessings from Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, a revered spiritual leader they have followed for years. They are known to attend his satsangs regularly along with their children, Vamika and Akaay.
Earlier this year, the couple had also visited Vrindavan, where they engaged in a special Ekantik Vartalaap (spiritual conversation) at Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, Varah Ghat. Upon arrival, Maharaj Ji welcomed them warmly and asked,
“Prasanna ho?” (Are you content?)
To which Virat replied, “Ji, abhi thik hain” (Yes, we’re fine), receiving a kind blessing in return:
“You should stay well.”
This was their second visit to Vrindavan this year, with the first one being in January when they visited with both of their children.
Family and Career Updates
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot in December 2017 in Italy, are now proud parents of two. Their daughter Vamika was born in January 2021, and their son Akaay arrived in February 2024.
On the professional front, Virat Kohli is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Earlier this month, he made headlines after announcing his retirement from Test cricket on May 12. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma has taken a step back from acting, with her last appearance being a cameo in the 2022 film Qala.
A Blend of Stardom and Spirituality
The Kohli-Sharma family’s recent visits highlight their deep-rooted connection to Indian culture, spirituality, and values. Despite being global celebrities, Virat and Anushka continue to inspire fans with their grounded nature, family devotion, and spiritual outlook on life.
