Tamim Iqbal Discharged from Hospital After Recovering from Heart Attack

Bangladesh cricket star Tamim Iqbal has been discharged from KPJ Evercare Hospital in Dhaka after suffering a heart attack on March 24, 2025. The 35-year-old cricketer collapsed on the field while leading Mohammedan Sporting Club in a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match against Shinepukur Cricket Club. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed he had suffered a cardiac emergency.

Tamim’s Road to Recovery

After receiving emergency medical treatment, Tamim underwent a successful angioplasty to clear blockages in his heart. Fortunately, his condition improved, and he was deemed fit for discharge. However, doctors have advised him to adopt lifestyle changes to ensure a full recovery.

The hospital confirmed that while Tamim’s health is stable, his future in cricket remains uncertain. A medical board will assess his condition in 3-4 months to determine whether he can return to professional cricket.

Tamim Iqbal’s DPL Form Before the Incident

Before his health scare, Tamim was in sensational form in the DPL. He had amassed 368 runs in seven matches, averaging 73.60 with a strike rate of 102.50. He also registered two centuries, placing himself as the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament.

His leadership and batting performances were instrumental in Mohammedan Sporting Club’s campaign, making his sudden health issue a major blow for the team.

Concerns Over Tamim’s Cricketing Future

With Tamim’s recovery now underway, speculation about his cricketing future has intensified. Given the physical demands of international cricket, his return will depend on his medical evaluations in the coming months.

Fans, teammates, and cricketing legends have flooded social media with well-wishes, hoping to see the Bangladeshi legend back on the field soon.

For now, Tamim’s health is the top priority, and the cricketing world eagerly awaits further updates on his recovery and potential comeback.
