Shakib Al Hasan’s Legal Battle Intensifies
Shakib, who has represented Bangladesh in 71 Tests, 247 ODIs, and 129 T20Is, has found himself embroiled in multiple investigations due to his alleged ties with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Hasina was ousted in a student-led uprising last year, and Shakib’s past political association with her party has brought intense public scrutiny.
While no criminal charges have been filed against him in relation to the political unrest, the fraud allegations have resulted in escalating legal troubles.
