Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024: Points Table and Latest Updates

The inaugural Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 kicked off on Saturday, November 30, at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal. The competition began with a dominant performance by the Janakpur Bolts, who defeated the Biratnagar Kings by eight wickets in the opening match.

Organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the NPL 2024 features eight teams competing in a total of 32 matches in a T20 format.

NPL 2024 Format

  • The league phase follows a single round-robin format, where each team plays against the other seven teams once.
  • Teams earn:
    • 2 points for a win.
    • 1 point for a tie or no result.
  • If teams are tied on points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) determines the rankings.

Playoffs Structure

  • Eliminator: 3rd-placed team vs. 4th-placed team on December 18.
  • Qualifier 1: 1st-placed team vs. 2nd-placed team on December 18.
  • Qualifier 2: Winner of Eliminator vs. Loser of Qualifier 1.
  • Final: December 21 at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.
