After months of speculation, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways. Their divorce was finalized at Bandra Family Court on March 20, 2025, ending their four-year marriage.
While the couple never publicly disclosed the exact reason for their separation, fresh reports suggest that a major disagreement over where to live played a crucial role in their split.

What Led to Chahal and Dhanashree’s Divorce?
According to reports, Chahal and Dhanashree’s differences over moving to Mumbai became a point of contention. After their wedding in December 2020, the couple initially lived in Chahal’s family home in Haryana. However, Dhanashree reportedly wanted to relocate to Mumbai, while Chahal was firm about staying with his parents.
Senior entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani shed light on this issue, calling it the “Mumbai-Haryana jhagda”.
