IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals to Wear Special All-Pink Jersey Against Mumbai Indians for ‘Pink Promise’ Match

In a powerful tribute to women-led transformation, Rajasthan Royabls (RR) have unveiled a striking all-pink jersey for their highly anticipated Pink Promise Match in IPL 2025. The initiative, tied to International Women’s Day, reflects the franchise’s ongoing commitment to empowering women in Rajasthan.

The Pink Promise Match will take place on May 1, 2025, against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

‘Pink Promise’—A Commitment to Social Change

The Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF), the CSR arm of Rajasthan Royals, marked International Women’s Day with the launch of a #PinkPromise campaign film, titled ‘Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai’. Last year, the Pink Promise campaign, supported by partners like Luminous, helped illuminate over 250 homes through solar power, improving lives across rural Rajasthan.

RR’s Leaders Speak on the Impact of ‘Pink Promise’

🗣 Kumar Sangakkara, Director of Cricket, Rajasthan Royals, emphasized the team’s commitment:

“Through ‘Pink Promise’, we strive to create a lasting impact—not just on individuals but on their families and communities. Last year, we saw how this initiative transformed lives, and that’s something we hold deeply. ‘Pink Promise’ is more than just a campaign; it’s a cultural commitment that shapes our values and defines what we stand for.”

🗣 Jake Lush McCrum, CEO of Rajasthan Royals, echoed the sentiment:

“Our foundation has been transforming lives in Rajasthan for over six years, but ‘Pink Promise’ took our mission to a global stage. From illuminating 260 homes with solar power to expanding our reach beyond Sambhar, our goal is to drive meaningful change across India. This isn’t just about what we do alone—it’s about bringing together like-minded partners who share our purpose.”

How Fans Can Contribute to the Cause

Rajasthan Royals are ensuring that every part of the Pink Promise Match creates a real impact:

✅ ₹100 Donation per Ticket: RR will donate ₹100 from every ticket sold for the RR vs MI match towards women-led rural transformation in Rajasthan.

✅ Proceeds from Jersey Sales: The special all-pink RR jersey will be available for purchase, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF) to support social impact initiatives.

✅ Lighting Homes with Every Six: For every six hit in the match, RR and RRF will light up six homes in the Sambhar region with solar power, ensuring a real-time impact with every boundary.

Expanding the Movement Beyond Solar Power

As part of their long-term vision, RR and RRF are not just stopping at solar energy. Future efforts will focus on water access, sustainable livelihoods, and women empowerment, ensuring that women remain at the heart of every transformation initiative.

With the Pink Promise Match, Rajasthan Royals are proving that cricket is more than just a game—it’s a platform for change. As they take on Mumbai Indians in their all-pink jersey, the Royals will continue their mission to create a sustainable and empowered Rajasthan.
