Harbhajan Singh Hails Dhoni: “He’s Baahubali!”
Former CSK star and India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was full of praise for his former skipper. In a glowing tribute on his YouTube channel, Bhajji referred to Dhoni as “Baahubali”, comparing his return to form and captaincy with the might and charisma of the epic hero.
“MS Dhoni is Baahubali. The captain showed the world what he could do when he came out to bat higher up the order. No. 9 doesn’t suit him at all. He came in at the right position and batted superbly,” said Harbhajan.
Earlier in the season, Dhoni batted as low as No. 9 — a move that baffled fans and analysts alike. But in this clash against LSG, he entered at the perfect moment — when CSK needed 56 from 30 balls — and changed the game alongside Shivam Dube, stitching a 57-run unbroken stand for the sixth wicket.
“When Dhoni takes the captaincy role, he is completely different. The team under him plays differently. He bats differently too,” Harbhajan added.

It wasn’t just his bat that did the talking. Dhoni, now 43 years old, made history by becoming the first wicketkeeper in IPL history to complete 200 dismissals. His stumping of Ayush Badoni and a jaw-dropping underarm run-out of Abdul Samad left fans gasping in awe.
Harbhajan pointed out Dhoni’s uncanny presence of mind and luck factor:
“Even the run-out of Abdul Samad… He has the luck factor too. When Dhoni is there, anything is possible.”
A Captain’s Touch
Dhoni’s brilliance was visible beyond the scorecard — his field placements, bowling changes, and ability to absorb pressure contributed significantly to the win. His return as skipper following Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury seems to have given CSK a fresh breath of life.
“He turned back the clock. The bowling changes were brilliant. He just became the captain, and everything changed,” said Harbhajan.

Despite the win over LSG, CSK are still bottom of the table with only 4 points from 7 matches. However, with Dhoni back at the helm, fans are hopeful the Men in Yellow can stage one of their signature comebacks.
