Expanded Tournament Format
The ninth edition of the ICC T20 World Cup promises to be bigger and more competitive, featuring a total of 20 teams vying for the coveted title. Hosted jointly by the West Indies and the United States, the tournament is scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 29.
The expanded format includes four groups, each comprising five teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage, intensifying the competition as teams battle for a spot in the semi-finals.
India’s Group A Challenge
The Indian cricket team finds itself in Group A, facing stiff competition from arch-rivals Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and the host nation, the United States. The Men in Blue will kick off their campaign against Ireland at the Eisenhower Park in New York on June 5.
One of the most highly anticipated matches of the tournament, the India vs. Pakistan clash, is scheduled for June 9 at the Eisenhower Park in New York, promising a showdown that will captivate fans worldwide.
Following the opening matches, India will face co-hosts USA on June 12 and take on Canada on June 15, both matches starting at 8:30 PM IST.

Defending champions England cricket team will commence their journey in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a match against Scotland at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 4. The cricketing world awaits to see if England can retain their title in this highly competitive tournament.
Road to the Final
