A tragic incident unfolded in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where a casual cricket match turned fatal after a heated argument led to the death of an 18-year-old boy. The altercation reportedly began over the last ball of the game, involving two teenagers, Vishesh and Shakti.
Last Ball Dispute Escalates to Murder
Eyewitnesses and locals reported that Shakti was dissatisfied with the result of the match, particularly the outcome of the final delivery. A verbal argument quickly turned into a violent clash, with Vishesh allegedly striking Shakti multiple times with a cricket bat in a fit of rage.
The horrifying act has stunned the local community, turning what should have been a day of innocent sport into a day of mourning. Shakti collapsed on the ground, severely injured, as the spectators watched in disbelief.
Family’s Effort to Save Shakti Fails
Mohit Kumar, Shakti’s uncle, was working nearby at a cricket ground in Rasoolpur when he received the tragic news. Rushing to the spot, Mohit carried Shakti and rushed him to a nearby hospital in an attempt to save him. Unfortunately, Shakti was declared dead upon arrival, as the injuries proved too grave.

FIR Registered, Police on High Alert
Mohit has since filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Vishesh, who fled the scene after the incident. The local police have deployed a precautionary force in the village to maintain order and prevent any further unrest.
Shakti’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, which is expected to shed light on the exact cause and extent of his injuries. Meanwhile, a search operation is underway to locate and apprehend Vishesh, who remains absconding at this time.
A Community in Shock
This shocking episode has raised serious concerns about youth aggression, lack of conflict resolution, and the growing instances of violence in sports-related disputes in rural and semi-urban India.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with the investigation as they try to bring justice to Shakti’s grieving family.
