The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the Indian cricket team will strictly adhere to the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines regarding the dress code during the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is scheduled to begin on February 19, with matches being hosted in Pakistan and Dubai.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, who recently succeeded Jay Shah, dismissed rumors of objections to featuring “Pakistan” on the team jersey as part of the host nation’s representation. Speaking to PTI, Saikia stated, “BCCI will follow every uniform-related ICC rule during the Champions Trophy. Whatever the other teams will do regarding the logo and dress code, we are going to follow in true letter and spirit.”

Speculations on Rohit Sharma’s Travel Plans
While the Indian team’s participation in the tournament is confirmed, a decision on captain Rohit Sharma’s travel to Pakistan for the pre-tournament opening ceremony and media engagements is still pending.
The curtain-raiser, which includes a photoshoot and press conference involving all captains, is scheduled for February 16-17. According to ICC regulations, all team captains must attend these official events. Saikia commented, “Whether Rohit Sharma travels to Pakistan for ICC media engagements is something that’s still not decided.”
