According to The Times of India, one of the two left-handers could be asked to stay back in Australia as part of the senior team setup.

Sudharsan and Padikkal have impressed during their stint with India A, delivering consistent performances with the bat in the recently concluded series against Australia A. Currently, both players are engaged in match simulations in Perth, while the rest of the India A squad is scheduled to leave for home on November 17. The BCCI’s final decision on which player will join the senior team could hinge on Gill’s medical report and the team management’s assessment of their immediate needs.
