After RCB cruised to a six-wicket win, thanks to half-centuries from Krunal Pandya (73*) and Virat Kohli (51), head coach Andy Flower praised the team’s bowling unit for restricting DC to 162/8—calling it their best effort of the season.
During the post-match team address, Flower handed over the mic to wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, who added a humorous twist to the debrief. He began by applauding Jacob Bethell, who made an impact on debut with a brilliant six off Mitchell Starc. He also commended Tim David for his explosive unbeaten cameo (19 off 5), describing him as a dominating presence in the middle.
But it was Jitesh’s assessment of captain Rajat Patidar that left everyone in splits.
Patidar, who was run out for a run-a-ball 6 in the fourth over following a mix-up with Kohli, received a brutal but comical verdict.
“Rajat, nothing,” Jitesh quipped, prompting laughter across the room.
Patidar responded with mock disbelief, saying, “Nothing bol raha hai!” To which Jitesh hilariously fired back,

The banter ended with Patidar laughing off the joke, replying, “Chal theek hai, match jeet gaye na!” (It’s okay, we won the game.)
