‘Virat Kohli Has Nothing to Prove’
On Virat Kohli’s recent struggles, Ganguly dismissed any concerns, stating that the legendary batter will work his way back to form.
“Kohli is one of the best batsmen in the world. He has 81 international centuries and does not have to prove anything to anyone. He knows what needs to be done and will solve his own problem.”
He also brushed aside criticisms of Rohit Sharma, asserting that his performances should not be judged based only on Test cricket.
“Rohit is one of the best batsmen in the world. Nobody should judge him based on his Test performances alone.”
Bowling Attack Without Bumrah
With Jasprit Bumrah unavailable, Ganguly placed his trust in Mohammed Shami to lead the pace attack.
“With Bumrah not in the squad, Shami will have to lead the attack. He is a fine fast bowler, and being in rhythm will be key for him.”
Backing Gautam Gambhir’s decision to play three spinners and two pacers, Ganguly stated that pitch conditions in Dubai favor this combination.

Ganguly also praised Shubman Gill, stating that the young batter is taking on more responsibility in India’s lineup.
“Gill is in great form. India have been at their best in white-ball cricket, and anyone who plays against them will agree.”
