The eagerly awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 schedule is set to be announced soon. While the start date has been finalized as March 21, the complete fixture list is expected to be released on February 7 or in the coming days, as per reports from Cricbuzz.

The 18th edition of the tournament will run from March 21 to May 25, beginning shortly after the conclusion of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

IPL 2025 Teams and Defending Champions

A total of 10 teams will compete in IPL 2025:

🏏 Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
🏏 Delhi Capitals (DC)
🏏 Gujarat Titans (GT)
🏏 Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
🏏 Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
🏏 Mumbai Indians (MI)
🏏 Punjab Kings (PBKS)
🏏 Rajasthan Royals (RR)
🏏 Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
🏏 Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are the defending champions, having won their third IPL title last year by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final. This made KKR the third most successful team in IPL history, trailing only CSK and MI.

✅ Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 – February 14 to March 15 across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Vadodara.
✅ ICC Champions Trophy 2025 – February 19 to March 9, hosted in Pakistan and Dubai.

India will play all its Champions Trophy matches in Dubai due to the hybrid model. Pakistan, the defending champions, will kick off the tournament against New Zealand in Karachi.
