A significant development in the squad is the appointment of Saud Shakeel as the new vice-captain, replacing Shaheen Afridi. Shakeel’s consistent performances have earned him the trust of the selectors and the team management.

The squad also features three uncapped players: Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Ali, and Mohammad Huraira, who have impressed with their domestic performances. Their inclusion is a testament to the depth of talent in Pakistan cricket.

Aamer Jamal has been included in the squad but his participation is subject to fitness.
