West Indies posted 295/7 after being asked to bat first. Justin Greaves provided the foundation with his maiden ODI century, scoring 101 from 108 balls.
India’s bowlers then restricted the visitors to a total that proved manageable on a good batting surface. Kuldeep Yadav was the standout bowler, taking four wickets.
India’s chase was then dominated by Virat Kohli and captain Shubman Gill. Kohli scored an unbeaten 139 from 88 balls, while Gill made 110. The pair added a 151-run partnership to take the game away from West Indies.
India reached 300/2 in only 41.4 overs, winning with 50 balls remaining.
The victory gives India a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The second ODI will be played in Guwahati on September 30.
2. Virat Kohli Reaches 15,000 ODI Runs and Scores 55th Century

He entered the innings with South Africa under pressure after Australia had removed several top-order batters. His partnership with Temba Bavuma changed the direction of the innings.
Miller’s 156-run stand with Bavuma took South Africa towards a total of 365/9.
