Ashes 2025-26 Tickets Set Record as Fans Rush to Secure Their Seats

Cricket Australia has announced a historic ticketing milestone ahead of the much-anticipated 2025-26 Ashes series. On Tuesday, a record-breaking 311,066 tickets were sold for international matches across the upcoming home season — a staggering figure that smashed the previous single-day sales record of 111,741 tickets, set prior to the 2017-18 Ashes.
Ashes Frenzy: Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne Days Sold Out
The demand was particularly intense for the Ashes, with allocations for the first three days at both the Brisbane and Sydney Tests, and day one at the MCG Test in Melbourne, selling out within hours. This phenomenal response underlines the growing buzz around the five-Test battle against traditional rivals England.
“The record demand for tickets demonstrates the immense excitement surrounding the upcoming international season,” said Cricket Australia Chief Executive Todd Greenberg.
Australia has held a dominant grip on the Ashes in recent years, winning the 2017-18 and 2021-22 home series 4-0 and retaining the urn with a 2-2 draw in England in 2023. England, meanwhile, hasn’t won a Test series in Australia since their 3-1 triumph in 2010-11.
