Cricketer's Wives

Good News For Rohit And Co! BCCI Allows Indian Players Wives To Stay In Dubai: Reports

In a major relief for Team India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly granted permission for players to have their families accompany them during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. However, there’s a catch—families will be allowed for only one match during the tournament.

BCCI’s Conditional Approval for Players’ Families 🚨

Initially, under BCCI’s strict 10-point policy, formulated after India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy loss, families were barred from traveling for short tournaments like the Champions Trophy.

However, considering the intense pressure of the tournament, the board has made an exception and decided to relax the rule.

Key Conditions for Family Stay in Dubai:

Players must mutually decide on which match they want their families to attend.
A formal request must be submitted to the BCCI for approval.
Once approved, BCCI will make the necessary arrangements.

📢 As per reports by Dainik Jagran, the players will need to follow a structured approval process before their families can join them in Dubai.

BCCI’s Stricter Player Regulations 📜

Over the past year, BCCI has introduced several restrictions regarding players’ personal engagements and family stays:

🔹 Family members can stay for only two weeks on overseas tours lasting more than 45 days.
🔹 No personal staff (e.g., trainers or dieticians) allowed during tours.
🔹 No commercial shoots or sponsorship obligations during an active series.
🔹 Mandatory approval from the Chairman of Selectors & Head Coach for any exceptions.

BCCI’s Statement on the Policy:

The board emphasized that the policy is meant to “ensure professional standards and operational efficiency during tours and series.” Any violations may lead to disciplinary action as per BCCI’s discretion.

India’s Road to Champions Trophy 2025 🏆🇮🇳

The Men in Blue are gearing up for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where they will kick off their campaign with a high-voltage encounter against Bangladesh on February 20. The tournament also features:

📅 February 23India vs. Pakistan 🏏🔥

With these new rules in place, Rohit Sharma and his squad will have a structured yet relaxed atmosphere in Dubai, ensuring focus while keeping the team morale high.
